Periodontal Disease

Periodontal disease is a destruction of the supporting structures of the teeth including the bone and the gums.  It is commonly referred to as a "gum disease".  It is caused by different bacteria than those that cause tooth decay.  Most often periodontal disease results from a lack of proper oral hygiene, although heredity can also be a factor.

Our role is to diagnose and treat periodontal disease.  Treatment can include deep cleanings and shortened recall periods to monitor the disease.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Teeth come in all shapes, sizes, and colors.  Sometimes they are straight and sometimes they are not.  Through the marvels of modern dentistry, these things can often be changed to create a more pleasing appearance.  Sometimes in just a single visit.

Tooth whitening is one way to make a big difference in the appearance of one's smile.  "At home whitening" is a treatment where a patient whitens their teeth by wearing fitted trays outside of the dental office.  White fillings can be bonded in place in same day visits.  If teeth are not in ideal position orthodontics may be another option.

We look forward to discussing any concerns you my have about your smile.
